Dear donors, advocates, partners, and friends,

Most of you know that nearly 8 years ago I was compelled to board a plane to Port-au-Prince to assist survivors in the wake of the destruction of the 2010 Haiti earthquake. Most of you also know that within moments of landing in the country I was terrified and quickly became aware I was in way over my head.

I could never have imagined that after a year of living in a tent, experiencing some of the rawest, most painful and complicated circumstances I have ever faced in my life would emerge, my second family – REBUILD globally. What I find even more incredible is that to this very day, we are still committed to rebuilding lives, families, and communities.

The difference now?

We are empowered with the experiences of the past 8 years…yours and mine. Those insights have changed the way I see this organization and how we talk about it.

Now, this is totally about us…all of us.

Over the years I have had the privilege to hear so many stories of how our partnerships have impacted your lives. The lives of those who have been generously and continuously contributing to making the world a better and more sustainable place. Your stories impact how I see REBUILD globally. So we made changes.

This is a celebration of our collaboration, and we are honored to share this new reflection of the collective impact we are having in Haiti. It is because of you, that lives are forever changed. Families are stronger, healthier and happier because of your commitment to this work and your trust in REBUILD globally.

Therefore, I proudly invite you to continue on this journey to change the systems that keep poor people poor. You will see a new logo, a new image, and a new website. These beautiful tools of communication allow us to more fully share with each of you what you have been contributing to for all these years.
