This is an opportunity to participate and explore our transformational education and job training programs, as well as discover the complex beauty of Haiti. Our Haiti headquarters, social-impact factory and education center is located in the middle of the bustling city of Port-au-Prince and will be a central point for your trip.

 

Be a part of our social impact programs, learn Kreyol from our program graduates, and explore Port-au-Prince from a local’s perspective. This is a unique and immersive opportunity to witness our programs, meet the people behind the organization, and truly feel the impact that we are creating in our communities.

 

On this four day trip, we will take a deep dive into REBUILD globally’s work in Port-au-Prince. This trip will give you the “insider’s experience” to everything the Port-au-Prince has to offer…You will visit cultural attractions and local markets, taste delicious Carribean-Kreyol cuisine, as well as gain a deep understanding of our approach to implementing global development and fighting poverty in Haiti.

This trip will be 4 days long and will be based in Port-au-Prince.

  • Visit to deux mains social impact factory and a “Design Your Own Sandal” activity
  • Kreyol lessons with our students, tour of our workshop and program experience

You may have noticed we do not include volunteer opportunities in the itinerary.  

 

We are aware of the controversy surrounding “voluntourism” and the havoc it leaves on vulnerable communities around the globe. With this, we have purposefully left out the typical volunteer opportunities that you typically see in trips to developing countries. We believe global citizens can and should travel the world and that it is possible to do so leaving communities enriched rather than deprived.
