In November, Apprenticeship Program Manager Annie Dickson posted a fundraiser for the Apprenticeship program – not for funds, but for art supplies and school supplies.  Her mom, Karen Dickson, organized all the contributions which came from several friends, neighbors and family members in the Rhode Island and New England area.  Annie brought back a suitcase full of art supplies after the holidays, which included needles and thread, paper and pencils, embroidery thread and hemp, beads, paints and glue.  A very heartfelt “thank you!” goes out to donors Sean Hannon, Kyle Siner, Paula Rando, Betty Dickson, and Joelle Willson.  We are also so grateful for the very generous donation from Peggy Ganim and VOSE Hardware in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, who donated an entire box of craft and art supplies.  And another special “thank you” to Rhode Island School of Design alum and professional Photographer Michael Cevoli, who donated several of his supplies from his days as an art student.

Further, San Fransisco design-education organization KIDmob (friends Tyler Pew and Kate Ganim – yes, that’s Peggy’s daughter from the first round of donations!) brought down supplies to use for a workshop here.  They generously donated the extra materials to us!  These included glue, thread, hemp, a hot glue gun, paper, rulers and writing utensils.

We are so lucky to have such an amazing group of friends and neighbors who support all these wonderful projects! Thank you all so much for your contributions, positivity, interest and support!
