Wilkens Tibert is the Director of the Elev Education Program at REBUILD globally. Wilkens joined our team in this important leadership role in 2024, with a wide range of experience in academia, and a long-time passion for education. Wilkens has a Master’s Degree in Education, and a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Linguistics and Law from the State University of Haiti. Wilkens decided to pursue a career in Education because he loves to teach. He is a dynamic, thoughtful and patient leader who has led our team to excellence. Wilkens is married, has two daughters and lives in Carrefour - a town just outside of Port Au Prince where he was born and raised
Sarah Sandsted Director of International Programs at REBUILD globally. Sarah has a Bachelor’s of the Arts in Journalism and French from Marist College, and a Master's in International Liaison and Communication from the University of Westminster in London. Sarah began working for REBUILD globally in 2013 and ran programs on the ground in Haiti for nine years. In 2022, Sarah moved to South Florida, where she now serves as a Liaison between the US and Haiti programs. She is fluent in English, French and Haitian Kreyol. Before working for REBUILD globally, Sarah served as a Professor of English Composition at the American University of the Caribbean in the South of Haiti, a member of the Executive Team at a DC-based Non-Profit, Share our Strength, and as the Disaster Response Team Coordinator for United Methodist Volunteers in Mission in Port Au Prince, Haiti shortly after the Earthquake of 2010.
Amenson Joseph joined our team in 2024 as the Information Technology Instructor for our Computer Lab at REBUILD globally’s Elev Education Program. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology which he received from INUKA. Amenson was always fascinated by technology and was a fast learner as a child. From a young age he was able to help friends and family with technology challenges with ease, and therefore decided to pursue a career in it. When he was in his third year in University, he helped his professor teach a course and he loved it so much, he decided to teach - especially because in Haiti this is lacking and something that is very important. Amenson was born in Cap Haitian, but now lives in Port Au Prince. He loves to play basketball and go to the gym in his free time.
Peterson Aulin has been working at REBUILD globally since 2012, our most senior Tutor and Employee of REBUILD globally. He is our English Tutor, and an English Teacher at two local highschools. Peterson has a background in IT, Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Theology and is a graduate from English In Mind Institute where he was also a Trip Leader. Peterson was born and raised in Port Au Prince, where he currently lives with his wife and daughter. Peterson loves teaching, and has a natural gift for it. He began studying English in 2009. He first aspired to be a translator, which brought him to his English teaching career. Peterson believes that English is a beautiful, commercial and international language, and an important tool for Haitian Youth.
Chelot Louis is a Mathematics and Physics Tutor for REBUILD globally’s Elev Education Program. He joined our team in 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Economics from UNASMOH. He is a Professor of Mathematics and Physics at two highschools in Port Au Prince. Chelot was born in Petit Goave, but now lives in Port Au Prince with his wife and two children. Chelot decided to pursue a career in Education because when he was in school he loved working in groups which proved to him that he was a good collaborator, and would make an excellent teacher. He loves reading, and going to the beach when the country is safe enough to do so.
Samuel Medina is our Mathematics Tutor at REBUILD globally, and has been a member of our team since 2015. He has a Bachelor’s in Education from UNASMOH, and is a Mathematics Professor at three local high schools in Port Au Prince. Medina loves the Education System, and was always a strong Mathematics student. He decided that he would turn this passion and strength into a career. He is proud to contribute to the Education System in Haiti. Samuel was born and raised in Port Au Prince. Medina is the proud father of one daughter, and loves spending time with her, and swimming in his free time.
Bernadin Durosier has been working at REBUILD globally as our Chemistry Tutor since 2017. He is a Professor of Chemistry at several local highschools in Port Au Prince. He has a Bachelor’s in Education from The University Jean Price Mars with a specialization in Industrial Chemistry. He speaks sign language, a skill he felt worthy of learning when he encountered many deaf children who lived on the campus where REBUILD globally operates. Bernadin was born in Cap Haitian but now lives in Port Au Prince. He has a deep passion for Chemistry and decided to study Education because from a young age he has enjoyed explaining complex topics to others to help them understand. He is a natural born teacher!
Valerin Dieujuste joined the REBUILD globally team in 2025 as one of our Tutors for the Elev Education Program. He teaches French to our 9th Graders, “Text Studies” to our Sophomores, and Dissertation Techniques to our Seniors. Valerin has a wide range of academic studies and several degrees. He has three Bachelor’s Degrees - one in Diplomacy & International Relations from ANDC/CFDE, one in Law from FDSE, and one in Philosophy from ENS. Valerin also holds two Associate’s Degrees in Journalism and French Communication. Valerin was born in the Artibonite Region and was raised in the town of Gonaives. He moved to Port Au Prince to pursue his University studies. With such a diverse background, Valerin could have chosen many career paths. He chose teaching, because he believes it’s a passion he inherited as his father was the director of a school in his hometown, which exposed him to teaching and the importance of education at a young age.
Lovely Joseph joined our team as the Human Resources Manager in 2023. As a Graduate of the Elev Education Program, and the Deux Mains Academy, Lovely has a very authentic perspective as a leader on the team. After Graduating from the Deux Mains Academy, Lovely studied at Wonderful Institute where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality. She then received a certificate in Human Resources after an intensive study with Best HR Solutions. She is now studying Administration at University to get her second Bachelor’s Degree. Lovely was born and raised in Port Au Prince. She met REBUILD globally in 2014 as a student in the Elev Program, and now, as a Graduate, also works at our partner company, Deux Mains, as the Human Resources Manager.
Widterly Dorvil is the Program Coordinator for the Elev Education Program at REBUILD globally. He joined our team in 2024 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration. Widterly is passionate about motivating youth and believes education is the way to change the situation in Haiti for future generations. As a child, Widterly was taught that life gives us opportunities and we must work hard to not let them slip away. He believes the opportunity to work at REBUILD is one of these opportunities. Not only for him, but for our students to have another positive role model in their lives. In his free time he enjoys playing the flute, playing soccer, and watching soccer.

Our Founders TedX Talk
The journey to changing the world began with handing out water bottles to earthquake survivors in Haiti. That’s when, in January 2010, American volunteer Julie Colombino initially heard an unexpected refrain, mostly from local women: “I need a job.”
Julie Colombino ’03 is the founder and CEO of REBUILD globally, a nonprofit organization that fights poverty in Haiti through education, job training and business development. A champion for impact-oriented models promoting social change, she expanded REBUILD globally to incubate its for-profit partner, Deux Mains, a Haitian-owned and operated ethical fashion company.
